For years, all “Full House” watchers have laughed, cried and screamed with the Tanner family. Back in February, fans rejoiced when Netflix released the first season of the spinoff of the show called “Fuller House”. “Fuller House” featured most of the original characters and some new characters. The second season of “Fuller House” is scheduled to come out Dec. 9, 2016 on Netflix. Although, “Full House” was shot in the original Tanner home, “Fuller House” was not due to complications with getting permission to shoot at the house. Now, that will no longer be a problem for the show.

The original house went up on the market back in May of this year. Creator and producer Jeff Franklin saw an opportunity to reunite with the memorable home. The house went up on the market for the first time in a decade for $4.15 million. Franklin had bought the house at the price of $4 million. The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and is 2,500-square-foot. Previous owners had changed the look of the house completely to the point it was unrecognizable as the Tanner home. Franklin plans to restore the house back to its original look.

“I went a little nuts one day and decided that would be a fun house for me to own,” Franklin told Business Insider.

Franklin plans to create the house into a museum for tourists and fans to visit and look through. Also, he plans to repaint the door back to red because previous owners had colored the door a different color. If “Fuller House” does get renewed for a third season, Franklin would love to shoot the show in the original house. He hopes to get other footage for the show rather than just the normal shot of the house everyone knows from the theme song and other parts of the show.

“But it’s more sentimental than anything. Both of these shows have just become a big part of my life,” Franklin told Business Insider. “It just felt like the right thing to own it.”
