Team USA vs. Puerto Rico set to rematch in the WBC championship

The WBC championship is set for Wednesday, Mar. 22, and it is going to be one for the ages. Team USA is ready to take on team Puerto Rico in one of the most hyped up rematches of all time.

In their first matchup, team Puerto Rico topped team USA by one run in a stimulating nine inning game. In the beginning of the matchup the first time around, team Puerto Rico started off HOT. They came out of the gate with six consecutive base hits followed by a sac fly, bringing the score to 4-0 early on, forcing the USA to worry about the situation. Step by step USA marched back and brought the game to a tie, until late into the game when Puerto Rico pulled away with it winning 6-5.

In this year’s WBC both teams have been dominate. Puerto Rico seems to have the hottest team being undefeated in the tournament, and they also have way more championship experience than USA. This is the first time ever that team USA has advanced to the championship round in WBC history. They have the talent in place to defeat the more experienced Puerto Rico team. It is just a matter of who wants it more at this point. Both teams are ready to represent their countries in the best way on the biggest stage in baseball behind none other than the World Series.

USA and Puerto Rico both have the potential to win it all with ease. They have pitching staffs with heat and finesse, they have bats with power and contact along with some of the best fielders in the MLB. The stage is set and now it is time for the players to show what they are made of.
