Cooper Schultz, Staff Writer
Cooper Schultz is a junior, first-year staff writer for the Statesman. He also considers himself the #1 Minnesota sports fan and an Anthony Edwards enthusiast. When he is not watching Justin Jefferson Highlights, he is playing golf or basketball. Schultz is enrolled in the Spanish Immersion program and is a proud member of the JV golf team.
Maddox Raph, Staff Writer
Maddox Raph is a junior and a first-year staff writer for the Statesman at LHS. He enjoys watching his sports franchises succeed. He is involved in LHS track and field in the spring and is a hall of famer at the Spring Creek Golf Club. You can usually find him listening to heartbreak Drake, and he has a passion for lake activities like fishing and jet skiing.
Lucas Hiatt, Sports Editor
Lucas Hiatt is a junior and Sports Editor for the Statesman. He is involved in LHS Golf and Student Council. He is also fluent in Spanish and is enrolled in LHS’s Spanish Immersion Program. When he is not hauling around furniture across Sioux Falls for his family business, he can be found at the golf course or the pickleball courts with fellow staff members, JD Yunag, Addy Albrecht and Clara Binstock.
James Plorde, Staff Writer
James Plorde is a junior, first-year staff writer for the Statesman at LHS. He is the number one Seattle sports fan, and at LHS, he is involved in Spanish Immersion. When Plorde is not at LHS, he enjoys hooping in his driveway, making sure his lawn is in great shape and hanging out with friends.
