We have a spring break this year!  In the middle of the doldrums of late spring, when students and teachers alike grow weary of work and routine, we have six days to revive, from March 31-April 5.  This is the same length as our President’s Day break in February.  I, for one, am very grateful for this much needed break.  Back in my sophomore year I wrote an editorial in this very publication outlining the reasons why we needed to organize our schedule so that our “spring break” was more than a long weekend. And now we have six days!  Students, teachers, and administrations can actually think about traveling, about relaxing, and recharging the batteries at the end of our always battery–depleting late winter.  Props to the school district for recognizing this need and creating more of a spring break!
