By passing the health care reform bill, not only will it cost trillions of dollars, but we will also have the government intervening with one of our very individual matters. When it comes to health care, everyone has a different situation, and the government just can’t comply with everyone’s needs for their health. So why would we want them to take over our health care system?
Another issue is the money factor. This reform is going to cost trillions of dollars. Although two-thirds of the cost will pay for itself, one-third of the cost is coming out of American’s pockets through taxes. It’s not fair or right that people who work hard to make a living would have to pay for the health care of people who don’t have the common sense to go out and get themselves a job.
The Obama plan is putting into federal law one of the worst features of state legislation: community rating. Community rating requires that all patients pay the same rates for their level of coverage regardless of their age or medical condition.

In reality, the health care reform will strip us of some of our freedoms we have when it comes to our health. The government just shouldn’t be intervening with health care. They are getting themselves into something they most likely won’t be able to handle in the long run.
