New principals bring new changes, and this time the changes are so minimal no one would notice anything different.

Normally, students have seven minutes of passing period, giving enough time to get from A-wing to E-wing. To inform students of what is going on, Principal Grimm does announcements twice a day; the first in the morning during ad room and the second at the end of seventh period.

The new adjustment for students occurs during fourth and fifth period, lunch and study.

“It won’t impact [students] at all,” said Principal Robert Grimm. “The seventh period class will be extended two minutes for announcements. But those two minutes aren’t really taken from anywhere. Instead of lunch being 25 minutes and then seven minutes to get to study, you’ll only have six minutes.”

The change may be a minor one, but Grimm assures the students there is still ample amount of time to get to class.

“[Students] are already in the center of the building,” said Grimm. “You don’t need seven minutes. You could get to your study in three minutes. Really, we just took away time from lunch A to lunch B.”
