A hole new era of fashion

“Wow are those your church jeans? Those are pretty holy,” said a boy to me in my adroom.  “Please don’t tell me you bought those jeans like that,” said a man to me at the place I work. “Did you get a discount because only half the jeans are there?” said a lady I had never even met. I think every time I wear jeans with holes in them, someone,`+ whether old or young, feels the need to comment on how my jeans are not just blue, straight and boring in every aspect.

In the modern era of fashion, clothes have evolved. Before clothes were just something you had to wear, something that really didn’t mean anything. Now clothes are something that help define us as people and as individuals. In the modern day, clothes are more fit to each separate person rather than a population as a whole.

Even in school when I walk through the halls, I see girl after girl wearing everything from dresses to overalls of all different patterns and colors. Everyone has their own separate style and has their own originality in their outfits.

So next time some older man feels the need to ask me if I really did pay full price for my holy jeans, I will just smile because little does he know times have evolved, style has changed and times are different. Now a days, holy, ripped and colorful jeans are not the basics of fashion, but something that helps to express us individually and that will always be better than boring, straight blue jeans.
