A tennis player’s biggest dilemma: Do you spell it racket or racquet? Guys, this is a serious problem or in other words, a world crisis.

How am I supposed to even know what I am playing with? A racket or a raquet? Because this concept is killing me, I went to work to ask my fellow tennis player friends and coaches.

Tanna Lehfeldt: sophomore, BVHS girls varsity number one seed refers to it as a racquet.

Sydney Pelletier: sophomore, BVHS girls varsity number two seed refers to it as a racquet.

Danielle Sebata: junior, 3 time state champion varsity OG attendee refers to it as a racket.

Ava Leonard: freshman, a fellow varsity Patriot tennis player refers to it as a racket.

Johana Brower: freshman, a fellow varsity Patriot tennis player refers to it as a racquet.

Grace Abdallah: freshman, a varsity OG tennis player refers to it as a racquet.

Emily Einsel: junior, a LHS junior-varsity player refers to it as a racket.

Mark Vellek: a professional tennis player, and my head coach refers to it as a racquet.

Alex Bernt: a professional tennis player, and my assistant coach refers to is as a racquet.

Elle Dobbs: an 8th grader, but a fellow varsity Patriot tennis player refers to it as a racket.

Before I did my research, I believed that it was spelt racket, but after my research I am even more confused based on such mixed results. This issue will forever remain a mystery. I am truly sorry that this data did not help the racket VS. racquet case, for I already know you will have sleepless nights just contemplating this issue.
