Team USA has been taking the World Baseball Classic by storm. Their first few games they defeated two of their three opponents outscoring 3-2 in extra innings. Then they had a hard fought game against the Dominican Republic but ended up losing 7-5. Finally on March 12 they showed how dominant they are and punched their ticket to San Diego to play their next contest after defeating Canada 8-0.

Every four years the USA is blessed with outstanding star-players to fill their 32 man roster for the World Baseball Classic. The combination of the best pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders in the game of baseball have helped America with its long time success in the World Baseball classic. In both aspects of the game, offense and defense, America seems to always be in one of, if not the best positions for the tournament. With the talent in place, the success is easily seen when all of those stars are on the field at once.

On Wednesday March 15, team USA looks to continue their success at Petco Park up in San Diego, CA against the hot-handed Venezuela squad. This is projected to be their hardest contest of the tournament because of the fire power Venezuela has on their team. Jose Altuve, Miguel Cabrera and Salvador Perez are just a few of the names that stand out for team Venezuela, showing that this team is very versatile and can hit. Team USA counters with All-Stars like Andrew Mccutchen, Giancarlo Stanton and Daniel Murphy.

The game will decide who is moving on to the winners and losers brackets of the tournament. If there is one thing for sure it is that both teams will try their absolute hardest to bring the title of champions back to their countries that they represent and show pride in what they have accomplished.
