The NBA Playoffs are in full swing as both the Western and Eastern Conference

Finals are beginning. In the East, the number four seeded Cleveland Cavaliers are facing off against the number two seeded Boston Celtics. Out West, the defending NBA Champions, the number two seeded Golden State Warriors are taking on the number one seeded Houston Rockets. As the playoff picture looks now, the looming reality is that NBA fans might once again see the Cavaliers versus the Warriors in the NBA Finals for the fourth straight season.

In the Eastern Conference Finals, the LeBron James led Cavaliers will look to overcome the Jayson Tatum led Celtics to reach the Finals and claim the NBA Championship for the second time in three years. James has been stellar throughout the playoffs averaging 32.7 ppg, 9.2 rpg and 9.0 apg according to NBA.com. James has also hit two buzzer beaters along the way to lead his team to this point. The Celtics rookie, Tatum has also been outstanding throughout his first playoffs, averaging 18.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg and 3.2 apg according to NBA.com.

Even with Celtics all-star guard, Kyrie Irving out for the season, my prediction for the Eastern Conference Finals is that the Celtics will defeat the Cavaliers in seven games. In the first game this past Sunday, the Celtics defeated the Cavaliers by a score of 108-83 to take a 1-0 series lead. The Celtics have too many weapons for the Cavaliers to handle, and the Cavaliers seem too one dimensional to make it past the Conference Finals.

In the Western Conference Finals, the star studded Warriors, led by Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are facing off against the Rockets, led by James Harden and Chris Paul. This will be the matchup to watch throughout the next couple weeks, as the Warriors and Rockets are arguably the two best teams in the NBA. The big advantage that the Rockets have in this series is that they have the home court advantage. This home court advantage may be the decider in the series. My prediction is that the Warriors and Rockets will both win one game away from home in the first six, leading to a win or go home game seven in Houston where the Warriors will sneak by the Rockets, leading to a Celtics versus Warriors NBA Finals.
