Why do (or don’t) you friend former students on Facebook?

Facebook is annoying and fake. People only post what they want people to see. If I really want to know and care how they are doing, I call them and have a real conversation.

What tests your patience as a teacher?

The students overwhelming lack of respect shown to each other and adults on a daily basis. And, the sense of entitlement that is so prevalent in today’s society. And social media!!!!! So fake!! Don’t get me started…

What’s a fashion choice you regrettably took part in?

There are many, but probably the 1980s “Members Only” jackets.
