New coach Justin Mueller coaches an athlete, junior Payton Hughes.

  1. What made you want to coach at Lincoln?

I wanted to coach at Lincoln because I played for Coach Fredenburg at his previous school and I really believe in the system and things he preaches about becoming a better student, person and athlete to his players. It truly is a great program and I am excited to be part of it.

  1. What’s your favorite part of coaching?

My favorite part of coaching is being able to teach and help people develop their skills and continue to become a better player each and every day. I get to see the players’ progress and accomplish personal and team goals, and that is very satisfying as a coach.

  1. How does your coaching style going to have an impact on the team?

My coaching style is going to help this team out because I was taught by coach Fredenburg when I was their age, and I have lived through and seen the changes in my life that his style of coaching teaches these young men. I’m only 22 years old, so not too long ago I was in their shoes, I feel as if I can give them someone to relate to.
