LHS student council campaigning has begun and voting will take place on Friday, Feb. 11.

Election time for LHS

It is that time of year again when all of the Student Council candidates work to try to gain their peers’ vote and do whatever it takes to try and become a representative.

Every year at the beginning of February, LHS candidates start preparing for the Student Council elections. They create clever slogans and posters to help draw attention to their campaign. On voting day, six freshmen, four sophomores and three juniors will be selected amongst their peers to lead their class. Every year, the halls get filled with a bunch of different creative posters from all of the candidates running.

Best design- Sophomore Kate Barbush and Freshman Charlotte Crawford are both running for Student Council. Their posters standout because they are cute and nicely designed.

Most clever- Vanessa Timat is running for junior Student Council and Bergen Quello is running for sophomore Student Council. They both came up with different clever slogans to help the voters remember their names.

Most patriotic- Trey Salava is a junior and Jeremiah (JP) Mulder is a sophomore. Their posters include the school colors to attract all Patriots. Salava includes a slogan to draw more attention to his name and Mulder adds his great qualities to let the voters know why they should vote for him.

Most creative- Lily Ralston-Perreault is running for sophomore Student Council. Ralston-Perreault added flowers to stand out and draw extra eyes toward her poster.
