.)“A Man Called Ove” by Fredrik Backman

.)This is a book that gives a glimpse into why people are the way they are. I teared up multiple times and really felt for the character.

.)This book will punch you in the gut – in a good way. A quote from the book: “Death is a strange thing. People live their whole lives as if it does not exist, and yet it’s often one of the greatest motivations for living…We fear it, yet most of us fear more than anything that it may take someone other than ourselves.”

.)grief, moving on, second chances, relationships, vulnerability

.)I think it’s important to find the good in everyone, and it’s hard to do that with Ove; that is, until you get his life story. Often times the elderly in our world are forgotten and dismissed. This book reminds us that we don’t always understand another’s situation and to do better for those around us.
