Pack a purse

A display of how packed your purse will be if you pack all the right essentials.

To help you stay organized and make sure you do not forget anything, here are some essential prom packing products that you should keep in your purse. If you do not have a purse I advise you to invest in one, even an oversized wallet will work.

Gel Petals. Gel petals are an absolute lifesaver when it comes to strapless, backless or uniquely designed dresses. They also eliminate the itchiness and uncomfortable tug on your body from a bra. Although, sometimes with uncontrollable amounts of body heat and sweat, they do have the possibility of falling off. So, always pack a backup just in case, whether it be for a petal gone missing or a friend who did not think ahead.

Flats. A flat shoe is a definite must when it comes to wanting to jump around on the dance floor. It is either that or uncomfortably swaying in your 5-inch heels. They might not fit in your purse but remember to at least keep a spare in the car.

Prom Ticket. THE most essential part of your prom night experience. Without a ticket, you are at a loss of luck entering the event you spent all day, maybe even months getting ready for. It may seem like an obvious necessity, but it might slip your mind amongst all of the chaos.

Extra Cash. Do not be too reliant on your date, they can be forgetful. Go into the day being prepared to have anything thrown at you. Whether it be as small as a candy bar or as big as a dinner for two.

Heel Liners. Ordered a size too big for your prom shoes? Or do your feet tend to sweat? Heel liners are a common solution to prevent uncomfortable rubbing and friction in your heels that tend to cause blisters. Silicon liners can also provide foot stability and anti-slip satisfaction.

TOTM (Time-of-the-month) Essentials. Apologies to anyone who will be experiencing this uncontrollable course of events. But prepare for it all: Headaches, cramps, mood swings, etc. Do not let something that we have dealt with for years determine how your night goes.

Chapstick. Such a small yet crucial necessity. Your lips will be chapped due to consistent chatting and singing throughout the night. Keep a chapstick on you at all times, especially so you do not have a ring around your lips from licking them all night.

School ID. As well as a prom ticket, you might have to also show your school ID, rather be safe than sorry. It might not be required but it is just a good thing to keep in your purse.

Touch-up Cosmetics. Keep mascara, lipstick, concealer, makeup wipes, etc. in your purse. Leaving your house before dinner and the dance, your makeup might look fine, but if you have a random breakdown and now makeup is dripping down your face… you are not out of luck.
