Maddy Hackett is one of the photographers for the Statesman and is a second year member on staff. In her free time she loves to road trip with her #Statesfam, listen to indie pop music like Johnnyswim and play with her adorable hedgehog, Pippa. Next year Maddy plans on making the long drive up to Brookings, South Dakota and start a new adventure at South Dakota State University where she will major in economics.
