Google introduces Pixel in time for holiday season

The new Google phone, the Pixel, was introduced to the public recently and was first stocked in stores on Thursday. Google’s timing could not have been better, as it’s competition in Samsung and Apple have already released their new phones in the past couple months. With the holiday season right around the corner, Google is set to make a fair amount off of their new devices.

Since Google has never really gotten into the phone market; the reviews state that their new arrival is mediocre at best. Pixel should have trouble competing with Apple’s iPhone 7, which has a great retina camera, while the Google’s phone camera is not very good. The company has said they plan to upgrade the camera in the coming years with updates to make the Pixel better for customers.

The Pixel also features a Siri-like helper called Assistant, which can do many of the things Apple’s Siri does, just not as well. The iPhone’s most recent updates to Siri have made her capable of much more than what she could originally do, so there is hope for the Assistant to improve as well.

As an Android, the Google Pixel does its job and provides quality service, Internet and texting. With Google promising updates to come in the near future as they are working diligently to compete with Samsung and iPhone, the phone seems to be a pretty good purchase to the public. Despite its downfalls, Pixel is created by Google, who is a multi-billion dollar company and is not set up for failure.

Google’s prices for the Pixel are reported to be anywhere from $600 for a 32GB phone on up.
