Vikings victory?

Oliver Lockwood-Powell, Staff Writer

With the Vikings winning streak reaching 5 games in a row, there are still high stakes for the Super Bowl hopeful team. This week’s matchup fresh out of the bye week, the Vikings are trying to pull something off they have not done since they had the legendary quarter back, Brett Favre.

The matchup for the Vikings is going to be no easy task. The Eagles are currently 3-2 and are sitting third in their division. With the up and coming star of a quarterback, Carson Wentz picked 2nd overall in 2016 NFL draft, the young gun will be looking for revenge after starting off hot and then losing the last two games. The question on the table is, will he get past the number 1 defense in the league led by Anthony Barr and Harrison Smith?

Although Carson Wentz is widely known as one of the best quarterbacks out of this years rookie class, not many have gotten past this dominant defense. Wentz just recently threw his first interception of his career last Sunday and ended his streak that was poised to break Tom Brady’s record of most attempts before throwing an interception to start their career. The biggest question of this week, though, is if Stefon Diggs, the Minnesota receiver will be ready for Sunday’s game. Diggs has been sidelined for two weeks with a groin injury so Sam Bradford has had to rely on his back up, Adam Thielen. Thielen did his job two weeks ago when we needed him but the question is, will he come up big again if Diggs needs rest? This week is big for the Vikes and fans all around the world can not wait for another Vikings victory.
