The unnecessary comments about ripped jeans

The+unnecessary+comments+about+ripped+jeans

Not many teenagers are able to say that they have been to a family gathering without a family member commenting on the holes in their jeans. Comments like, “Why do you pay for holes in your jeans when you could do it for free?,” “Aren’t your legs cold?,” “Do you really like your jeans like that?,” “Did your jeans actually come like that?” and many more unreasonable questions.

When going to a family gathering or even out in public, people are confused on why teenagers like to wear ripped jeans. This brings on the many comments and questions from people who just can’t understand why teens wear ripped jeans. As a teenager who wears ripped jeans, I can truthfully say that it can get incredibly annoying. Yes, I know that my jeans are ripped. Yes, my jeans are like this on purpose. Yes, I like them this way. Answering all these unnecessary questions and comments can be annoying and frustrating. Experiencing this one time is not a big deal, but when someone has to be asked every single time, it can get unnecessary and infuriating.

Ripped jeans can make outfits look more interesting and less bland instead of just regular jeans. Regular jeans are still a good option, I don’t have anything against them and I still wear them frequently. Ripped jeans are just a fashion choice and certain style that many people prefer, just like other people might have certain fashion choices they like and prefer. People shouldn’t question other people’s fashion choices and harass them about it. If you have a problem with ripped jeans, just move on. Ripped jeans aren’t going anywhere no matter how much you don’t like them.
