The wait is finally up. For Drake fans alike, it has been two years in the running since he started dropping hints of his “Views”  album. At 10 p.m. on Thurs. April 28, the download of the 19 track album (plus “Hotline Bling” as a bonus) officially became available.

The album has the same sort of soul-full tone as his previous Grammy winner, “Take Care.” He features artists such as Rihanna in “Too Good,” Future in “Grammy’s” and PARTYNEXTDOOR in “With You.” Since this album had been so highly anticipated, Drake had drop a few of the tracks earlier than the release of the album to try and give fans a taste of what “Views” was all about. “Hotline Bling,” “Pop Style” and “One Dance” were three songs from the album that Drake fans had the pleasure of hearing in advance. Those songs Drake dropped gave fans a different vibe for what the album was going to be, compared to what it actually is. “Hotline Bling” and “One Dance” are similar in that they have soft beats, but still have a tone that can turn around the listener’s mood. The version of “Pop Style” Drake released featured The Throne, AKA Jay-Z and Kanye West. This song is more of the “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” style that Drake expressed on his mixtape. However, when listening to the song on the actual album, Drake made a remix of it without Jay-Z and West.

Overall, “Views” shows the soft-side of Drake and tells about the girls who did Drake wrong. Most fans are impressed with his beats in this album, but it is hard not to compare it to Grammy winning “Take Care” which is why there are mixed reviews about the album.
