Student of the week has high ambitions

Shakila Diznab; student, friend, person… and now, student of the week. You go, girl! Ms. Pabst, the chemistry one, nominated Diznab for her outstanding science skills.

Diznab excelled in biology last year, and is continuing her standard of excellence with chemistry this year. Outside of chemistry, Diznab takes the biomedical science class at CTE, which will help in her pursuit of becoming a nurse practitioner.

Pabst nominated Diznab along with Kyle Dietz, her biology teacher last year. They both were amazed by the effort she puts into all her work.

“I picked Shakila because she is always working hard on her chemistry,” said Pabst. “She has an excellent grade, and she helps those around her too.”

Diznab is currently not involved in any extracurricular activities, but hopes to join some soon- she needs to focus on her studies for now. Furthermore, Diznab loves chemistry and science in general. Diznab thinks that Pabst is an excellent teacher that makes learning enjoyable- which often proves challenge with chemistry… No offence, Jaws.

The student of the week is supposed to exemplify the expectations what a good student is supposed to be, and Diznab does just that.

“She was a really great science student last year, too,” said Pabst. “She works hard, and it pays off.”
