Wiki Games are wicked fun
December 1, 2016
With the new year on its way and this year coming to a close, there are some things we wish we could just leave in 2016. For example, a dead gorilla who got 11,000 votes to be the president of the U.S., a popular gaming app where players wander through people’s backyards looking for virtual creatures or someone blowing clouds of O’s on the corner to show off their vaping skills. But not all fads will die out, like that one gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo. #R.I.P. Harambe.
This year is coming to an end but new trends seem to be popping up every day. The latest is craze is Wiki Games and everyone who is anyone seems to be playing it. This game requires someone to give you a random word and then that player would have to search that word on Wikipedia. They also give that player another random word to try to get to. For example, the word the player may start with might be pickles and the word they are trying to get to might be African Elephant. Then on that page they click on one of the blue key words to go to another page with the goal of trying to get to the second word. The less amount of words that player clicks on and the faster they get to the second word the better they are at the game. Even if this game does not make a permanent appearance, it will sure have an influence on the new games that will appear in the future.
There are new fads showing up right and left thanks to the help of social media. As the years roll by what is popular and what is in style seems to be changing by the day and it is anyone’s guess what could be trending in 2017.
