We are all familiar with the meme “got any games” and usually a teenager’s response to that annoying question is no. Well, times have changed. The newest trending app is the game Ballz.

Ballz is a strategic game that students of LHS cannot get enough of. The game starts the player off with one ball for them to hit as many boxes until the boxes disappear. The player must knock the boxes out before they reach the ground level. It sounds confusing, but it really is not that difficult to get the hang of. Players accumulate more balls as they play but the boxes also increase in number as the game levels up. The balls and the boxes are not the only thing increasing though, the number of students playing is in rapid growth.

“The fact that it has a lot of levels to beat makes me not want to stop playing it,” said freshman Kelin Williams. “The game is addicting so everyone can’t stop playing it.”

Students are encouraging their friends to download the game. Junior Riley Fawcett has reached the impressive level of 953, but success always brings haters along with it.

“Sam Mendel showed me the game,” said Fawcett. “It has created a rift in our friendship after I demolished his record.”

Ballz can also be a good distraction from actual responsibilities. Many students are caught playing the game during inappropriate times and catch themselves playing when they should be doing something more productive with their time.

“I play the game because it’s fun,” said freshman Wtutnuer Gatnoor. “I also play it during school when I’m bored.”

To sum it up, Ballz has altered LHS student’s priorities and lives altogether.

“It’s a way of life,” said Fawcett. “I <3 Ballz.”
