The Super Bowl; quite possibly the most important sporting event of the year is approaching faster than you may think. In just a few short months, millions of people will be tuning in to watch the 52nd game.

On Feb. 4, 2018, the Minnesota Vikings will be hosting Super Bowl LII at their brand-new US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, MN. The dome seats up to 70,000 people and boasts impressive state-of-the-art features. The stadium is expected to have a full house since the game will be the first Super Bowl in Minnesota since Super Bowl XXVI, when the Washington Redskins defeated the Buffalo Bills, 37-24, on Jan. 26, 1992. As of right now, the teams that are expected to advance to the Super Bowl are the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles, and last year’s champions, the New England Patriots.

Although the kickoff time for the game is yet to be announced, the event will feature an exciting halftime performance from Grammy award winning artist and previous Pepsi halftime show performer, Justin Timberlake. JT is a veteran to the halftime show scene.

Timberlake has performed once before at the Super Bowl, alongside Janet Jackson in 2004. And their performance certainly went down in history as a halftime show to remember when Janet Jackson had a wardrobe malfunction on live television. Timberlake ripped off a part of Jackson’s shirt in a costume reveal gone wrong. The controversy of the last show is still debated today, whether or not Timberlake ripped Jackson’s costume on purpose as a publicity stunt.

Whatever happens at the Super Bowl, the show and game will entertain millions of Americans.
