It is not every day one gets to witness live music from the voice of someone in the music industry – however, concert goers who attended the BØRNS concert at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, MN last Thursday experienced this first-hand. With opening acts from Mikky Ekko and Charlotte Cardin, fans were able to soak in electrifying music before BØRNS, American singer-songwriter, even stepped foot on the stage – but, once he did, all eyes were on him.

The Michigan native recently dropped his sophomore album titled “Blue Madonna” in the weeks leading up to his St. Paul performance. With Lana Del Rey highlighted on two of the 12 tracks, including “Blue Madonna” and “God Save Our Young Blood,” BØRNS has accumulated even more fans in the wake of his album release.

BØRNS opened his concert with his title track, “Blue Madonna,” followed by the rest of his album. After singing all 12 tracks without stopping, BØRNS performed a majority of his debut studio album, “Dopamine.” With “Electric Love” being one of his most well-known hits, BØRNS closed his show with the song – making the crowd erupt as he walked off the stage.

Prior to his jaw-dropping performance, the first 100 concert goers were given the opportunity to purchase signed “Blue Madonna” CDs in order to meet BØRNS after the show. With fans still in awe over his performance, meeting him in person was the icing on the cake. People were able to take pictures with BØRNS while striking up conversations – making their time at the Palace Theatre that much more memorable.

Witnessing the energy BØRNS produced on the stage was something truly extraordinary. Taking in live music from talented artists gives a feeling that one cannot feel anywhere else – making the experience entirely unforgettable.
