Spoiler Alert!! Bachelor Week 9

As far as drama goes in this week’s episode of “The Bachelor,” it was something we’ve never seen before. As Arie and the three remaining women traveled to Ica, Peru, they made Bachelor Nation history with another devastating goodbye and a special visit that shocked many.

Arie began his trip on a date with the very unique girl from California, Kendall. Their date included riding on the sand dunes of Peru along with a cute little picnic. Although Arie has expressed to Kendall several times he’s worried about her not being ready for marriage, he still continues to tell her that he’s falling in love with her. Given the option to go to the fantasy suite , they decided to go for it and who knows what really went on in there.

Arie continued his time in Peru with a date with the beautiful, yet very shy, Lauren. There is no doubt in my mind that Lauren and Arie have the strongest connection out of the three girls left even though Lauren is a little paranoid about him dating two other women. On their date, they got to fly above the Nazca Lines followed by a lovely rustic dinner. As soon as Arie, once again, told Lauren that he loved her, her worries faded away and Arie spent another night in the fantasy suite.

To end his time in Peru, Arie took the very down-to-earth Becca on a date. They painted the picture of a perfect couple as they went on a romantic boat trip to an island full of birds followed by another dinner. Arie, once again, tells Becca he loves her as they head to the fantasy suite. Yep, that’s three girls he’s used the L word with, giving two of them a false hope for love that they’re not going to find with Arie. This really lowered my respect for Arie. You may be thinking Becca should be the winner because there were no problems between them. That’s when Becca’s ex showed up wanting her back. This caused Arie to start to question if Becca still has love for this guy until she sends him home with complete humility.

To wrap up this drama-packed episode, it was time for the rose ceremony.  As the three girls stood there, all of them looking like they were going to throw up. My gut instinct was that Kendall was going home. She didn’t seem ready enough and I think Arie is looking for something more. Sure enough, I was right. Arie pulled Kendall aside and sadly told her to pack her bags. After the tears and the super dramatic limo ride home, Arie knew he made the right decision.

“I am really happy with the girls that are left on the Bachelor,” said sophomore Nicole Schmitz. “I wasn’t really surprised Kendall went home even though I liked her, but I am really hoping Lauren wins it all.”
