AP test season is back

The most stressful time of the year is approaching and LHS students are preparing themselves to overcome it with success. The final tests, which quiz the knowledge students obtained all year long, will begin in the next couple of weeks.

LHS offers some of the best AP classes in the state of South Dakota. This gives LHS students great opportunities to better themselves through the available programs.

“You are able to challenge yourself more and when you challenge yourself more you can become a better student and a better person,” said junior Max Peters.

Peters is going to be taking four AP tests this year. He is preparing for his tests like any other normal student would: reviewing misunderstood concepts and trying to stay on top of schoolwork.

“I do all the homework that I am assigned in class, and if I don’t understand or remember something, I make sure to refresh my memory,” said Peters.

Senior Michael Chang will be taking six AP tests in the next couple of weeks. Chang has been preparing by reading study books and practicing as much as he can.

“For the tests that you know that you are going to study a lot of specifics, not necessarily procedural, you definitely have to get a study book or some flash cards for review,” said Chang.

Although it seems like Peters and Chang are just about experts when it comes to taking AP tests, they still have their weakness; both students are still worried about one or two of their tests. However, it is normal  for students to be a little nervous for their tests.

“Get a good night sleep the night before and make sure you feel confident because if you feel confident and ready, you will probably do a lot better than you think,” said Peters.
