With the season a third of the way done, the Minnesota Twins sit at third in their division, with a record of 22-29. Although they are not sitting where they want to by the end of the year, they still have plenty of time on the table to mix things up and get ahead of the Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers.

With an underwhelming record, there are still bright spots coming out of the Twins roster this year. At the plate, Eddie Rosario has been tearing it up at the top of the lineup. Right now, he is hitting .305 AVG, .522 SLG, a .332 OBP while bringing in 32 RBI’s on 62 hits. Still one of the youngest players on the team, the future is looking bright for Rosario and the young core of the Twins.

Right behind Rosario is CF Byron Buxton, 3B Miguel Sano, RF Max Kepler, SS Jorge Polanco, 2B Ehire Adrianza and other young stars. All being under the age of 26, there is still a lot of growth room for the young bucks. As of this season, they will look to turn it around and back their strong pitching performances led by 24-year-old Jose Berrios and 23-year-old Fernando Romero, their two ace pitchers.

Last year, the Twins turned it on very late in the season and snatched the final wildcard spot, making it back to the playoffs for the first time in eight years. With a young core and veterans sprinkled into the equation, the Twins have the makeup to be a very, very dominant team. The question is, do they have what it takes to come together and deliver the first world series roster for Minnesota since the 91’ team led by Kirby Puckett? With a little over 100 games left, Rosario and co will battle to get to where they want, ultimately winning the AL Central.
