“Riverdale” and “90210” actor Luke Perry has died at the age of 52. While the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed, it is believed to be a result of the stroke he suffered on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
Perry had his big break playing bad boy Dylan McKay in “90210” and continued portraying heartthrob teenagers throughout the 90s.
In 1992, Perry took on the character Pike in the film “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Soon after, in 2000, he moved on to more mature roles after the cancellation of “90210.”
One of his most recent and popular works is his role as Fred Andrews on the CW show, “Riverdale.”
Many of his castmates have tweeted and posted on Instagram to express their condolences to his family. They decided to share their most heartwarming stories and descriptions of Perry on their platforms.
“Luke Perry… you were a joyful and vibrant soul. You will be missed, but most certainly your legacy will be remembered forever. Rest in love and peace, friend. #Riverdale,” said the “Riverdale” Writers Room’s Twitter.
“I’m finding it hard to grasp that he will no longer be around to give long hugs and share his wisdom and kindness with all of us. I’m thinking of his family. His children. I pray for them to heal and find peace in this devastating loss,” said Lili Reinhart on Twitter.
“I don’t have any words now. Maybe I will later,” said Marisol Nichols on Instagram.
Perry leaves behind a daughter, Sophie, a son, Jack, two sisters and a brother. Perry will be missed by many in and out of the TV and movie industry.
