The Kardashian-Jenner family has been climbing the ladder of stardom ever since the release of “Keeping up With The Kardashians” in 2007. Throughout the 17 seasons of the reality show, the family has built an extremely lucrative career with a collective net worth of nearly $1.5 billion. After a decade of fame and scrutiny from the public eye, many people are left wondering: How long can this last?

The Kardashian’s entrance into the spotlight remains a mystery as the family has zero involvement in acting, music, politics or any other variable that is commonly affiliated with fame. The family keeps their infamous name bolded in headlines and plastered on front covers with their endless family drama and antics. The public eye seemed to eat up the constant flow of drama and spectacles that the family dished out with every new episode. The commitment fans showed for the family allowed for a jumpstart in each of the Kardashian-Jenner’s individual careers.

The Kardashians and Jenners have recently started developing individual businesses and forming careers outside of their glamorous appearance on E!. The prior fame that the reality show provided to the Kardashians allowed for a huge boost in the individual goals of the family. From $900 million dollar makeup brands, shapewear and a clothing collection, the Kardashians have dabbled in nearly everything.

Despite the new entrepreneurship from the Kardashian-Jenner family, their 13 years of stature seems to be coming to an abrupt close as they are now being described as underwhelming and unoriginal. Although they still remain prominent in the public eye, their luxurious and costly lifestyle seems to be slipping between the cracks of favored reality television. Daily Mail claims the show experienced a 37 percent drop in viewers from previous seasons.

Although the Kardashians and Jenners have proved they can do more than work the camera angles, it seems that after 13 years, the public is no longer infatuated with the plastic family. The Kardashian-Jenner family has been deemed as overkill as they have made a prominent and loud appearance on nearly all social platforms, but their overall success in the industry seems to be coming to a close and we may be witnessing the end of the Kardashian-Jenner reign.
