We have all laid in bed on a Friday night scrolling through websites like Buzzfeed to find out insignificant, yet all-consuming facts about ourselves like which character we are from Riverdale. These fascinating quizzes are a great way to fill time and cure boredom. However, the Enneagram personality test is much more telling than a simple late-night curiosity.

The Enneagram has been known for being able to highlight the specific personality traits of a person. Knowing these particular characteristics contributes to a better understanding of a person’s limitations and areas for maturation. Many use this test as a tool to have on their journey to personal growth. The Enneagram is used to recognize which of the nine interconnected personality traits best suits one’s psyche. Knowing these traits allows for people to create more fulfilling relationships and build on their knowledge of their own strengths and weaknesses. Within each segment of the test, the questions dive further into the categories of instinct, intuition and intellect. This test offers the idea that everyone is born with a natural gift. By creating a form of identity within the test, one is able to adequately modify their presence based on their knowledge of their personality.

1 The Reformer-

Also known as type one, the reformer has a great moral compass. They strive for greatness, allowing little room for failure. By holding almost unachievable standards for themselves, they are well known as the perfectionist.

2 The Helper-

You know someone is a type two by their care and pure generosity towards others. All they desire is to be close with others which can transition into some well-meaning, people-pleasing habits. Type two will forever express their feelings for unconditional love.

3 The Achiever-

A type three is constantly working for better. However, their highly driven personality can sometimes be clouded by their need for reassurance. Your greatest role model may be a three.

4 The Individualist-

They might have a lot of friends, yet are great at staying reserved and lacking vulnerability to many. A type four may come across as moody but their creativity and drive for self-renewing is a recipe for transformation.

5 The Investigator-

Type five’s use their hyper-focus and intellect to individually develop ideas and skills. Their intense nature may seem shocking but these insightful people may just be absorbed into their own thoughts.

6 The Loyalist-

These trustworthy and committed fellows are some of the most responsible of the bunch. Sixs are known for their reliability and hard work.

7 The Enthusiast-

The most energetic, optimistic person you know may just be a seven. Their high spirits create a sense of excitement and draw people in for more. Sevens seek adventure and new experiences.

8 The Challenger-

An eight is extremely dominant and powerful. They crave control and a feeling of stability. Eights strive to be the hero by strengthening others’ trust in them.

9 The Peacemaker-

A nine avoids conflict at all costs. Their easy-going nature creates an environment of trust and optimism. Your most supportive and accepting loved ones may be nines.
