Sources close to Kim Kardashian West have confirmed that a divorce from her husband, Kanye West, is not only on the table, but imminent. Kardashian West has even ditched her wedding ring after nearly seven years of marriage.

“They are keeping it low-key, but they are done. …they are in settlement talks,” said a source, according to Page Six

Kardashian West hired divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who represented her in a previous divorce from basketball player Kris Humphries, as well as other A-list celebrities. The couple is currently having settlement talks over their family home in Calabasas, California, which they paid $40 million for, and another $20 million in renovations. While Kardashian West owns all of the land and adjoining lots around the house, West owns the actual house and masterminded its redesign. Kardashian West wants the house to be turned over to her since that is where their kids are growing up, but they have yet to decide how their properties will be divided.

West has been living in his $14 million ranch in Wyoming for the past few months, including over the holidays, while Kim stayed at their home in California with their children.

“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the source continued.

During Kardashian West’s 40th birthday celebration in Tahiti, West showed up late and left early after just one day. He has become increasingly irritated with the Kardashians’ over-the-top reality star lives, and wants nothing to do with the entire family, including Kardashian West’s mom, Kris Jenner, who West called “Kris Jong-Un.” He tweeted last summer that he has been trying to divorce his wife since 2018.

“I been trying to get divorced since Kim with Meek [Mill] at the Warldolf [sic] for ‘prison reform’,” tweeted West last July.

Kardashian West is serious about becoming a lawyer and continuing with her prison reform campaign. She is at the end of her rope with her husband talking about running for president and his other crazy ideas, and she needs space to figure out her future.

However, the couple is currently in marriage counseling trying to see if their relationship can be saved. They were married with a lavish ceremony in Italy, and now share four children together: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1. They have supported each other through years of tough times, including when Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. She has also spoken out often in defense of her husband and his mental health struggles.

¨He is a brilliant but complicated person who, on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder,” said Kardashian West in a statement shared on social media. “Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not align with his intentions.”

West is bracing himself for Kardashian West to file for divorce, knowing that the inevitable will happen. While the couple is sad to be separating, their lives do not overlap much as they have been on the brink of divorce for a while now. The reports from anonymous sources are speculative with neither of the spouses commenting, but it does seem that the two are headed towards a split.
