In every season of “The Bachelor,” there are always cast members that really stand out, and ones that tend to just blend in with the masses.

The 25th season of “The Bachelor” features the Bachelor, Matt James, who was supposed to be on Clare Crawley’s season but got upgraded to the Bachelor before Crawley’s season began. James is a 29-year-old from Raleigh, NC, who played college football at Wake Forest with former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron. Cameron’s mom is actually the one who nominated James for the show. James’ season has many contestants trying to steal his heart; some in more outrageous ways than others. Every season there are always the contestants that are overly obsessed and crazy, the ones not there for the right reasons and the frontrunner.

This season there are many girls trying to stand out to James by doing some ridiculous things. From the moment contestant Victoria Larson, self-proclaimed, “queen,” stepped out of the limo, many viewers could tell she was going to be crazy. All of the first night, she wore a tiara and waved a wand around calling herself a queen. Many believed she was kept around by the producers to make the show more entertaining, but when Matt James was asked by Jimmy Kimmel, he shut those rumors down.

According to Life & Style, James stated, “No, that wasn’t the case, she’s great … I really enjoyed Victoria.” 

On week two, Larson began to cause trouble with other girls in the house. Since this season has the record amount of contestants, many girls would not get to go on a date with James. She started complaining about not getting enough time with James, even though on the first night she kept on going to talk to James, instead of letting all the other girls get a chance to talk with him too. The girls started getting annoyed by her complaining, and that is when the drama began. Larson even had a disagreement with her roommate, Marylynn Sienna, that resulted in Larson sleeping on the couch.

Many contestants of “The Bachelor” franchise go on the show to build their platform, as seen in Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” when she found out weeks after picking the winner, Jed Wyatt, that he went on the show to boost his music career, not to find love. After going on the show, many of the contestants grow their following on social media and use their platform to make money after the conclusion of the show. This season, Kit Clementine Keenan definitely stood out to me as the one on the show trying to boost her social media, not to find love. Even though her mom is famous designer Cynthia Rowley, I still think Keenan is on the show to boost her fashion business. Keenan is still super young, and many people are not looking for love at that young of an age. I will not be surprised if she becomes a social media influencer after the show.

Every season, viewers are able to tell who the Bachelor has the most interest in. This season I think Abigail Heringer is definitely one of the front runners. She even got the first impression rose and the first kiss from James. Heringer does have a hearing impairment, but when viewers watch the show they probably would not be able to notice since she is great at reading lips. Heringer is not only one of James’ favorites, she is certainly a fan favorite as well. Heringer will be one of the contestants to make it to the end.

The 25th season of “The Bachelor” will most likely be one of the most dramatic seasons yet.
