Having the expectation of gifts under the Christmas tree and an abundance of treats and decorations is not a reality for everyone. With the holiday season approaching, LHS WIN times and Lifescape have partnered up to help every child have a gift under the tree to open on Christmas morning for the second year in a row.

Lifescape is a non-profit organization that strives to provide resources to better the lives of the children and adults they serve. Lifescape serves children with all sorts of needs, ranging from a short amount of time to recover from a serious illness or children who need longer-term care due to their challenges. No matter the case, they want every child to have something to open on Christmas morning. Many kids are far from their families making it hard for them to spend time with them and have gifts under the tree.

Through Student Council, WIN times have the opportunity to select a wish from one of the children at Lifescape along with providing other items for them like craft supplies and games to keep them busy throughout the whole year. Without generous donations from WIN times and other local businesses, many of these kids might not have any gifts to open. The wishes from children at Lifescape vary, from books to read, movies to watch or trucks to play with. Not only does providing a gift give them something to look forward to for Christmas morning, but also by giving craft supplies with their gift, it allows them to keep busy all year long, and it encourages creativity.

The holiday season is a great time of year to give back and make a positive impact on people’s days. Spending just $10 or less on a Christmas gift provides insurmountable happiness for many children who love Christmas just as much as everyone else.
