Snoop Dogg coming to Sioux Falls
Snoop Dogg is known by many as the “epitome” of West Coast hip-hop culture.

On Apr. 19, 2022, cultural icon and A-list celebrity, Snoop Dogg, will be performing alongside popular country music artist Koe Wetzel at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. This concert will be a part of Snoop’s annual “4/20 tour.”
Calvin Cordorzar Broadus Jr., professionally known as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper, songwriter and actor from Long Beach, California. He is one of the best known figures in the music industry and has produced many top 100 hits. Some of his most popular songs include: “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Nuthin but a G Thang” and “Young, Wild and Free.”
Koe Wetzel is an American singer and songwriter from Pittsburg, Texas. He became famous in 2017 after releasing his second album titled “Noise Complaint.” Wetzel’s music is a mixture of country and rock and roll. His top selling songs are “February 28, 2016” and “Something to Talk About.”
Although Snoop and Wetzel identify with different music genres, they are both excited to team up and give the crowd a one-of-a-kind performance. According to espnsiouxfalls.com, Snoop and Wetzel met for the first time in the Summer of 2021. Photos and videos of them talking together became viral on social media and turned into memes.
Snoop’s last performance happened during the Super Bowl halftime show which made it difficult for concert promoter Jered Johnson to book the Sioux Falls concert.
“It kind of morphed out of the Superbowl performance and then the stars aligned,” said Johnson in an interview with Keloland.com. “Both these acts are on separate tours and they decided to come together for a couple of dates that happened to be in the midwest. I do not know how, and we are extremely excited.”
Tickets for this event went on sale on Feb. 25, 2022 at 10 a.m and have a starting price of $39.50 plus applicable fees. However, the price per ticket will go up as the event becomes closer.
