With warmer weather just around the corner and spring passing by, many may begin craving a cool, sweet drink. A creamy, sweet smoothie is the perfect option. It will keep you cool in the warmer weather and freshen up your day. While stopping at Scooters or another restaurant is an option, you can also make delicious and refreshing smoothies right at home. Here are a few tasty recipes you can use to satisfy your smoothie cravings.

While green smoothies may have a stigma to them, they are incredibly underrated and, if made correctly, can be very tasty. So, if you are yearning for a healthy, fresh, and delectable smoothie, try this.

Green smoothie recipe:

  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup spinach
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup milk (I use almond, but any kind works)
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp agave

Fruity, flavor blasting smoothies are delicious, but they do not always satisfy a less flavorful craving. Sometimes a basic and simple food is what one finds more appetizing. When you are in the mood for a more mellow, yet still refreshing and flavorful smoothie, this is the recipe for you.

Strawberry banana smoothie recipe:

  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¼ cup milk (any kind)
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp. agave

Sweet, fruity smoothies are a delicious treat on a warm day. However, if you are less of a fruity person, here is a heavenly peanut butter/chocolate smoothie that will melt in your mouth.

Chocolate peanut butter smoothie recipe:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp. cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
  • ¼ cup milk (any kind)
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. agave

With the warm sun shining down and a smoothie in your hand, you will be able to sit back and enjoy the new weather feeling refreshed. These recipes are also great sources of nutrients for your body, so you will be energized for the rest of the day. You could make one of these smoothies on a day off from school and enjoy a peaceful morning or take it to go and drink it throughout your morning classes. Both are enjoyable options that will brighten up your day.
