The school year is almost over, the last and final stretch for the seniors. There are about three weeks left which are going to fly by. Trying to wrap my head around the fact that I am graduating in a year is crazy. The last few weeks of the school year can be super difficult due to the loss of motivation and little to no interest in school. One way I try to get through the end of the school year is looking forward to what I have planned for the summer.

Before school is technically out, my weekends are full of graduation parties. This makes the weeks go by way faster, especially because the parties give you something to look forward to. Busy weekends, especially Saturdays, are my favorite type of weekends. Graduation parties are also one of my favorites because of free food, spending quality time with friends and taking fun pictures. The parties are a good opportunity to get a group of friends together and go “party-hopping.”

To start off my actual summer, I have a vacation planned to San Diego, California. The trip will last a week with many objectives planned. I am planning on paying a visit to the San Diego Zoo along with riding the zipline, which is a part of the attraction. The zipline brings you 130 feet up in the air, with a beautiful view of the giraffes and rhinoceroses. Riding a hot air balloon has been on the top of my bucket list for a few years now so I plan to ride one while I am there.  I am most excited about taking pictures and trying all of the food that I wouldn’t normally have access to.

I plan on working for most of the summer, half with my nanny family and the other half at my current job, the daycare. The family I am nannying for consists of three kids, the oldest is six, the middle is three and the youngest is eight months. I am super excited to hangout with them all summer and grow a stronger bond with the kids. I have known them for over a year now so it has been a crazy experience watching them grow up.

The last month of school can be very hard, but finding ways to keep yourself busy can make the time go by faster. Also, making a summer bucket list or planning out your summer can give you something to look forward to. I highly suggest trying either of these things instead of dreading the last weeks of school.
