Mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen. The new season of “Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)” is finally here.

The season 31 cast was released Sept. 8, on “Good Morning America,” and the fans were shocked and excited for the show to finally begin.

“DWTS” is a reality TV show where professional dancers are partnered up with celebrities. The couple is expected to choreograph a dance that will be performance-ready for the live show each week. These partners are judged based on technique, chemistry and their dancing skills. However not everyone makes it, the pairs with the lowest scores by the end of the night are at risk of getting sent home. The cast of this season has a huge range of celebrities, from country singers, bachelorettes, actors and even a couple of Tik Tok stars. The couple that wins is given the glorious Mirrorball Trophy, which everyone knows is a pretty big deal.

According to The Gold Derby Newsletter, the 16 couples competing for this year’s Mirror Ball Trophy are as follows: fitness model Joseph Baena with pro partner Daniella Karagach, actress Selma Blair with Sasha Farber, actor Wayne Brady with Witney Carson, meteorologist Sam Champion with Cheryl Burke, social media star Charli D’Amelio with Mark Ballas, model Heidi D’Amelio with Artem Chigvintsev, country singer Jessie James Decker with Alan Bersten, actor Trevor Donovan with Emma Slater, actor Daniel Durant with Britt Stewart, reality star Teresa Giudice with Pasha Pashkov, reality star Vinny Guadagnino with new pro Koko Iwasaki, actress Cheryl Ladd with Louis van Amstel, model and actor Jason Lewis with Peta Murgatroyd, drag queen Shangela with Gleb Savchenko, singer Jordin Sparks with Brandon Armstrong, and “Bachelorette” star Gabby Windey with Val Chmerkovskiy. Former DWTS champion Alfonso Ribeiro is going to be co-hosting for the first time alongside former host Tyra Banks. Everyone’s favorites, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will be the judges for yet another season.

This season will not be like previous years, for the first time “DWTS” will be streamed only on Disney Plus instead of ABC. “With the addition of Disney Plus there is a whole new way of doing the show, it is impossible to host the show alone, it is impossible based on no commercials and needing to clear the sets,” said Tyra Banks.

This season will be a whole new ball game for the celebrities, but it will also bring about changes for the whole TV show. This will be a season fans will not want to miss. Buckle up and prepare yourself for a season like no other. Tune in on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Disney plus to see your favorite celebrities hit the dance floor.
