A gift to yourself this holiday season
The holiday season means being out and about running multiple errands. The stores will be packed, which can bring out some stressful feelings for all shoppers. One aspect that can be added to everyone’s holiday shopping is a delicious festive drink. The popular coffee chain Starbucks is known for their flashy holiday cups and beverages. It is almost impossible to be out shopping during this time of year and not see one of these glorious beverages in at least one shopper’s hand.
Starbucks releases the classic versions of their limited edition holiday drinks every year. This year, these include the caramel brulee latte, chestnut praline latte, toasted white mocha, peppermint mocha, sugar cookie almond milk latte and the Irish cream cold brew. While these are delicious as are, it can be even more of an experience to customize the beverages. This list of drinks has something for every coffee or non-coffee drinker out there. From hot to cold and super-sweet to low sweetness levels.
- Iced Chai with sugar cookie cold foam
This drink is perfect for those who love a cold caffeinated beverage, but are not necessarily into the taste of coffee. To order, ask for an iced chai tea latte with vanilla sweet cream cold foam and sugar cookie syrup in the cold foam. For some extra holiday pizzazz, ask for the red and green sprinkles on top.
- Sweetness level 9/10
2. Hot chocolate with caramel brulee sauce
Nothing can beat a classic cup of hot chocolate during the holiday season. This version kicks it up a notch, making it extra special and delicious. To order, ask for a grande classic hot chocolate with two pumps of caramel brulee sauce and caramel brulee topping. If ordering a tall, ask for one pump of caramel brulee and three pumps in a venti.
- Sweetness level 8/10
3. Iced sugar cookie oat milk shaken espresso
This next drink is a holiday spin on a very popular Starbucks drink, the brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso. It is lower sweetness, but still extremely creamy and delicious. To order, ask for a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso, substitute sugar cookie syrup for the brown sugar syrup and no cinnamon powder. For a bonus, ask for the red and green sprinkles on top of this drink as well.
- Sweetness level 6/10
4. Iced mocha with peppermint cold foam
Everyone knows and loves the classic peppermint mocha. This drink is very similar, but with a modern twist. To order, ask for an iced mocha with vanilla sweet cream cold foam and peppermint syrup in the cold foam. Optional: add the chocolate curls on top.
- Sweetness level 9/10
5. Toasted white mocha with toffee nut syrup
This last drink is a fun take on a hot beverage. It is creamy, decadent and not super traditional when it comes to holiday flavors. To order, ask for a grande toasted white chocolate mocha with two pumps of each toffee nut syrup and toasted white mocha sauce. If ordering a tall, ask for one pump of each flavor and three pumps of each in a venti.
- Sweetness level 7/10
These beverages are all delicious as are, but feel free to switch up the milk and amounts of syrup pumps in order to meet preferred sweetness levels and taste.
