With Winter Formal approaching rapidly (it is Saturday, Dec. 3 at LHS), plans for groups, outfits, pictures and restaurants are taking place. If you are in need of a fancy but not over the top dinner for your formal group’s pre-dance festivities, here is a guide.

  1. ROAM Kitchen & Bar

Near the Empire Mall, ROAM offers a laid back but formal atmosphere with food that caters to everyone. They offer gluten free options and have a variety of different dishes including salads, sandwiches, steak and seafood.

       2. Minervas

You absolutely cannot go wrong with Minervas, which sits right on Phillips Avenue downtown. On top of the calm and elegant tone of the restaurant, they have fantastic food. Pasta, salad, soup, seafood and steak can all be ordered. And, as a bonus, their dim lighting offers a perfect opportunity for pictures with your formal group.

     3. Kitchen 2210

Only a couple minutes from LHS, this eatery is perfect for those who struggle to be on time (and enjoy good food). Kitchen 2210 provides both a luxurious setting and a plethora of entrées.

     4. Oshima

For the sushi lovers, Oshima is the way to go. Near downtown, Oshima doubles as a delicious dinner and an opportunity to explore the Christmas-lit downtown Sioux Falls. Additionally, Oshima has lots of dinner options for those who don’t like sushi.
