Five of the LHS Statesman staff members recently took a trip to St. Louis for the National Journalism Convention. While there, they visited various sessions with various speakers who talked about all of the different aspects of journalism. Some staff members went to sessions about design elements and how to improve a layout, some went to sessions about improving their writing skills, and some even went to sessions about how to construct a social media account. Of course, a St. Louis trip would not be complete without visiting the Arch National Park and the city museum, so the staff members took every opportunity they could to visit the most popular tourist destinations. The convention gave them information and skills to improve all areas of their journalism careers, and they are excited to share their new ideas.
