Final farewell
May 3, 2023
With the school year rapidly coming to an end, students are antsy to wrap up tests and jump into summer. As the summer approaches, it can be easy to wish for the future. Wishing to be laying in the sun, to be a year older, to be out of high school.
While the hours and weeks pass slowly, the years truly do fly by. Appreciate the slim part of life lived in high school; it will be over in the blink of an eye. After hours of hoping long days would come to an end, summer would come faster and school would be out, the time has finally come. It is bittersweet to come to the realization that high school is truly over. Everything students have long-awaited has arrived.
Seniors, with the whirlwind of change to come in the future, it is important to remember the past and cherish the memories made. Time at LHS has pushed students to further find themselves and shape their future. It has been a journey filled with new experiences and adventures. Whether it be cheering at an athletic event, playing a sport or messing around with friends, each student at LHS has made unforgettable memories through the years. After realizing how quickly graduation creeps up on seniors, it has set in for them to embrace their last high school moments. Enjoy time with friends. Soak up every minute. These are some of the last days traveling from class to class through the LHS hallways.
Walking across the stage at graduation, students will bid LHS one final goodbye and thank you for all of the memories made, lessons learned and experiences had. Some will cross the stage with joy and others with a heavy heart. While it is tough to let go of the past and move into a future of change, it will be a growing experience and an exciting new journey. LHS seniors will separate in all directions and enter onto different paths of success. This being said, they will never forget their time at the beloved LHS.
LHS, thank you for all of the relationships, lessons and experiences. They have created a platform for seniors to jump off of and into their futures.
