As the 2023-24 school year comes to an end, teachers are putting in grades and grade point averages (GPAs) are being finalized. GPAs range anywhere from 0.0 to 4.0+, what does your GPA say about you?
4.0+ GPA: If your GPA is 4.0+, your need for academic validation drives you through the school day. You are probably the type of person to complain about scoring a 93% on a test and then tell the kid who got a C that they did well and should not be worried because it was “really hard”. You are definitely a teacher glazer and remind the teacher to collect the homework when they forget.
3.99 GPA: Kids with 3.99 GPAs are wannabe 4.0+ kids. They probably got an 89% in one class and their teacher refused to bump it up. It was most likely a filler class, like art, that they just took to fill their schedule, but it ended up being their hardest class. On the other hand, if you are like me, you had a 4.0 until you had the smart idea of signing up for AP Chem, and your GPA has since dropped to a 3.99.
3.0 GPA: If you have a 3.0 GPA you are the smart kid who puts in no effort. If you tried, you could be up there with the higher GPAs, but you do not care enough to do that. The kids in your class who study every night just to get lower grades than you on every test envy you for your natural intelligence. You value sports and extracurricular activities over your grades and take pride in the fact that you “do not do homework”.
2.0 GPA: People with 2.0 GPAs are one of two kinds of people. The first kind is the kid who was told to sign up for hard classes freshman year without knowing that their grades permanently went on their college transcript. They probably got a few Ds freshman year, but have since raised their GPA with loads of effort. The other kind of 2.0 GPA student is the student that is good at certain subjects, but not so good at the other ones. For example, they may get A’s in Math and Science, but score C’s in English and History.
