What newcomers really think of LHS

By Kendall Houwman, LHS Freshman Connections Student

When one first walks into LHS the blue lockers and smell of sweat and cookies flood your senses. Everything looks the same, but then again everything looks so different.

The new freshmen have an overwhelming surge of emotions when people ask about high school. Many newcomers take the scary approach and think the school could be compared to jail.

“Lincoln High School is dark and pretty big,” said Rose A.

But others like to think of it as a time for new experiences and new opportunities. They take a positive look at it and try to think of the future.

“Lincoln High School looks very educational,” said Emily S.

Although the feelings about high school are very mixed, they are also all the same.
