Dear LHS Students,

The royalty has been nominated, the themes have been decided and the inflatables have been ordered. It is time for homecoming week, Sept. 25-29.

Here are some basic do’s and don’ts from a seasoned LHS junior:

  • DO- Dress up and be creative
    • Monday- Beach Day
    • Tuesday- Biker Day
    • Wednesday- Occupation Day
    • Thursday- Movie/Character Day
    • Friday- Spirit Day- Wear your class shirt.
  • DON’T- Think that you are too cool to show school spirit
  • DO- Attend the pep rally. If you attend LHS at least act like you love your school.
  • DON’T- Dress inappropriately. School dress code does apply.
  • DO- Go to the Patriot Party. Show off your moves. (No grinding-must be at least 2 feet from your partner… I’m kidding, but seriously no grinding.)
  • DON’T- Skip the inflatables. I will personally challenge you to an obstacle course, and I will win.
  • DO- Go to the football game. It starts at 5 p.m. and the theme is your class color
    • Freshman- Red
    • Sophomore- White
    • Junior-Blue
    • Senior-Black
  • DON’T- Mess up the cheers at the football game. Freshman, the Y-E-L-L cheer goes 2-1-2-1-2-2-2-2-2-1. Also, be loud, the upperclassman appreciate it.
  • DO- Attend coronation and the variety show. Maybe in a few years you’ll be up for royalty.
  • DON’T- BRING BABY POWDER.

Homecoming is one of the best weeks of the school year. It is filled with fun activities and goofy dress up days. Do not take it for granted because before you know it it will be your senior year and you will wish you had just one more homecoming week.  Make some mems, take some pics and love your school.

Yours truly,

Chloe Crissman
