Toy Story 4

In 1995, the story of talking toys hit the big screen with the name “Toy Story.” 6-year-old Andy is the trustee owner of many toys, his favorite being Woody, the cowboy. Woody feels threatened when Andy’s newest toy, Buzz Lightyear comes home to play. This conflict unravels the plot for the first Toy Story movie. The movie also gives us a small glimpse of Woody’s love interest, Bo Peep, as they share a kiss under the mistletoe at the end.

“Toy Story 2” did not disappoint, with a new plot unraveling as Andy heads off to summer camp. With Andy gone, Woody attempts to save a fellow toy and accidently gets placed in a yard sale. Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang head off on a rescue mission in order to get Woody back. While Woody is away, Bo Peep is worried sick at home. Eventually, a classic happy ending unravels, giving audiences another successful Toy Story movie.

In 2010, audiences everywhere were tearing up over “Toy Story 3.”  Andy is heading to college and no longer needs his toys. The toys end up at a day care center, filled with children who do not play nice. The gang is eager to venture their way home and makes it just in time to say goodbye to Andy. Before Andy leaves, he passes the toys down to Bonnie, a little girl from the day care center.  That was the last audiences’ saw of the Toy Story gang.

Side note: Bo Peep was not seen in “Toy Story 3,” although she was mentioned by Woody who explained she was sold to a toy collector. Audiences everywhere were questioning the whereabouts of Woody’s love interest.

This is why on June 15, 2018 “Toy Story 4,” will bring audiences everywhere the love story of Bo Peep and Woody. The movie will be released 23 years after the original “Toy Story.” Pixar was hesitant to make a “Toy Story 4,” and only agreed to take on the project if it was just as good as or better than the others.

Buzz Lightyear and Woody are trying to keep their mission (to find Bo Peep) on the down low, so Toy Story fans have not been given much information on their next adventure. In the meantime; however, keep your eyes open for any talking toys.
