The LHS boys tennis team has one goal this year: a three-peat. Coming off strong from wins in the state tournament in 2013 and 2014, the LHS boys tennis team has started off the year undefeated in team play this year. Most of this is in thanks to the amount of work the team puts in over the course of the year.

“We practice at a very high octane,” said senior Brenden Johnson. “The practices puts us at the very high level we play at now, one of a defending state championship.”

Lead by defending double and singles champion, junior Kaleb Dobbs (14-0 on the season) the Pats look to continue their winning ways in the state tournament.

“My goal as an individual is to win the state title in both singles and doubles,” said Dobbs. “Our goal as a team is to win the team title once again.”

An ambitious goal for an ambitious group, they will be faced with tough competition in cross town rival OGHS.

“Our biggest competitor would have to be O’Gorman this year,” said Dobbs. “They will be the team for us to get past on the way to the state championship.”

The LHS boys tennis team will be in action against  fierce rival OGHS at the Dakota cup, which is held on May 2nd at 6:00 at McKennan Park. Come out to support Dobbs, Johnson, and the rest of the LHS tennis team on their quest for a three-peat.
