College is where a person makes memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. From the friends made, the classes taken and getting prepared for the future, everyone and their mom loves telling crazy college stories.

Last Tuesday, Jan. 17, LHS staff members chose to show off the college they went to by wearing a shirt or sweatshirt from their former school. The vast majority of teachers attended USD, SDSU or Augustana. Psychology teacher Travis Aukerman had some words of wisdom to share about the alumni day.

“Promoting colleges is probably a good thing in a high school full of future college students,” said Aukerman. “I wore two different shirts. One was USD for my undergrad and the other was Augustana for my master’s degree.”

Most all of the staff participated in representing their school and gave students a good look at the variety of places their teachers furthered their education.
