1. Location is very important when making a Student Council campaign poster. The candidates hang their posters in popular locations in the halls including columns, above doorways and above water fountains.

2. Another important aspect of poster hanging is quantity. The more posters, the more votes.

3. Student Council candidates draw student’s attention by using familiar pop culture references.

4. If the candidate has the opportunity to make their name into a pun, then seize the moment.. Duh.

5. Some candidates went above and beyond poster making and made snapchats and websites to get their name out there.

6. Special shoutout to Peter Christopherson because not only did he use a pop culture reference but he even made a geofilter on Snapchat. Kudos kid.

7. Using props with the posters also sets the poster apart from others. Props may include but are not limited to candy, gum, cookies and even mirrors.

8. If something sets the candidate a part from other candidates then they should advertise the heck out of that; AKA Somer Luitjens having connections to Lance Luitjens, Vice Principal.
