Math student of the week: Jacob Croghan
March 21, 2017
Math is a subject that students will use for their entire lives, whether it is on a shopping trip or in their career.
This week’s math student of the week is Jacob Croghan. A student of the week exemplifies the traits of hard work and dedication. They put their all into their work and try to get the results that they want. They also want to delve deeper into the subject and have the drive to learn more about the subject. They do not just go through the motions.
“Jacob works really hard in and out of class,” said Brian Kocer, Croghan’s math teacher. “He is always thinking about the reasons behind the concepts we cover in AP Stats and not just trying to get answers to the problems.”
Croghan works hard in class and puts in the necessary work to succeed in class. He carries all of the traits of a student of the week. Croghan’s actions in and out of the classroom prove that he deserves the award of Math student of the week. Croghan leads other students through his actions and sets an example for other math students to follow.
Future students that hope to get student of the week should work hard and act as a leader to fellow classmates.
